Engineering History: The Twitter Files

My head hurts, my heart aches, and I am despondent for the first time in a long time.   The revelations coming from Twitter under Elon Musk are exhausting and Orwellian. 

Non-leftists have long suspected that they were treated differently and that their voices were actively silenced by Big Tech.  The Twitter Files, as the releases have come to be known, started on December 2nd and continued on the 9th.  More releases are forthcoming, and I honestly cannot fathom what nightmares will be contained therein.  So far, given the voluminous amount of data Elon Musk has made available to the journalists, only the shadow-banning, and outright silencing of conservatives has been released.

Various United States Federal Agencies actively consulted and colluded with Twitter senior management to silence the voices of Americans who disagreed with their world view.  This is a blatant violation of the First Amendment and is in no way defensible.  It is also blatant election interference by not just Twitter senior management and employees but by every participant at the Federal and State level, whether they actively participated or just remained silent.  Every single one of these people need to be indicted and face a jury.  Every name must be released and public shaming and shunning of these swamp rats must begin.

I was one of those average Americans silenced on Twitter.  The low IQ crowd took delight in their lack of reading comprehension and just started banning conservative accounts.  To this day, my account is still suspended.  I refuse to delete a Tweet to satisfy a weak, spineless, mindless drone.

As angry, frustrated, pissed off, and outraged as I, and far too many others are tonight, are we know nothing will happen to these imbeciles who changed, no they actively engineered, the course of history because of their “feelings”.  The FBI or DHS or the DOJ aren’t going to charge their employees, they certainly will not charge former Twitter employees for election interference.  There will be no prosecution for perjury for lying to Congress under oath.

Legacy media will not cover the story until it simply gets too big to continue to ignore and sweep under the carpet.  The corruption is so pervasive and systemic that I do not see a method for restoring public trust.  Elon Musk is a damn superhero who unfortunately has placed his own life and the life of his loved ones in jeopardy by exposing the filth and corruption to the light of day.  He is in my prayers, as are the journalists who are exposing the contents of the files. 

I am despondent tonight because I know my husband is right when he says it’s a “nothing burger”. Not because there is nothing there but rather because nothing shall change. The corruption will fester, the politicians will pontificate and do nothing, and The Constitution will be an obituary to a once great nation.

The worst aspect of all of this is that Twitter was far from alone in doing what it did to conservatives. Facebook, Instagram, Google, Apple all immediately spring to mind. I am positive that every entity in America that conspired with the United States government to silence and deplatform individuals from the average American like me to the sitting United States President is actively engaged in purging their servers and files of every scrap or hint of anything like what was released tonight. The government, state and Federal, are undoubtedly doing likewise, and breaking multiple laws in the process.

My brain and my heart are torn. The eternal optimist in me says that the nation is stronger than this and with time and convictions, we will recover. The pessimistic side is screaming that the corruption is so deep-rooted it will be impossible to clean house effectively and that dissolution is the only viable path forward. There has to be middle ground, there is always middle ground, but for the life of me, I cannot see a path toward compromise. The systemic corruption is just one obstacle to compromise and restoration of public trust.

My prayers aren’t for my loved ones this evening but rather for all those working to expose the lies and corruption. For the nation I love and no longer recognize. For those complicit in the trampling of The Constitution.

The coming revelations will be painful and disheartening. They will challenge the faith we have in our nation, our institutions, and one another. Those who have been exposed will scream that the revelations are “nothing” or that by bringing the collusion into the light we are “endangering” lives. As always, their “feelings” will be of paramount importance and everyone else be damned. I refuse to be deterred and I refuse to remain silent. I am an American citizen and within the bounds of The First Amendment, I will say what I want, when I want, and in whatever manner I so desire. Your feelings do not come into my decision making. If you consider speech violence, then I pity you and refer you to the annals of history to learn what true violence is.

I may retire this evening with a heavy heart, but I have faith that there is a path to the middle ground and someone can see it clearly.

Scarred by wintery weather in previous years, once proud and fearless Texans now tremble and cower at the mere mention of a winter storm.

Rain is falling, temperatures are in the thirties and still they cower in their homes afraid to face the outside world. Rather than face a storm head on like their ancestors, they now quiver and quake like a bowl full of jelly.

The streets are not covered in white, the sunlight shall return, but on this fine February day, Texans have retreated to their homes in fear. No brave men or women to defend The Alamo could be found on this day. Instead, all that could be found are people frantically checking and rechecking their phones to see if it is safe to be Texans again.

Stand Up Texans! Pull on your boots and hats, buckle up, and enjoy the ride! We are Texas strong, proud, and FREE!

Do NOT Be Distracted

To paraphrase Jan Brady, “Russia, Russia, Russia!”

The installed Regime in DC needs to distract Americans from the never ending parade of glaring failures that have no end in sight and the mainstream media is just beginning to admit and cover. The Russian “crisis” is a manufactured one by the regime.

Let’s summarize the problems that must be distracted from:

• More COVID “deaths” under the regime than under President Trump when the regime infamously promised to “shut down the virus”
• Bare Shelves are everywhere across the nation. Americans are daily confronted with the inability to access basic goods at the grocery store.
• Rising inflation stealing income from Americans.
• Soaring energy prices when we were not only energy independent but an exporter of energy under President Trump
• The nation is less unified than ever after claims he planned to “unify” the nation
• The southern border is porous and flooding our nation with illegal aliens of unknown background and intent
• Afghanistan withdrawal and the abandonment of American military equipment and more importantly AMERICAN CITIZENS behind enemy lines
• Labeling all who disagree with their politics as “domestic terrorists”
• Endless federal court battles against Americans that ultimately are being eviscerated by the courts

The list could be continued but the listed points adequately illustrate the failures. The Establishment, The Regime, and the mainstream media need a distraction to cover up the massive failures and corruption infecting our republic.

What better way than to manufacture a military crisis that enriches the Establishment, gives woke military commanders control, and distracts from the rampant corruption in the federal government. Ukraine has announced publically there is no imminent threat of invasion from Russia.

So if the country allegedly in peril claims there is no imminent threat what is driving the Saber rattling and brinkmanship? Two things: distract the American public from failures at home, and provide another “viable” method to refocus fury and rage at President Trump who will be blamed for the crisis.

End game results they are hoping for? One is passing bills they cannot otherwise force through Congress by sneaking them into military authorization bills for troops in an active war zone. Thus attempting to disguise the “federalization” of elections as a military spending bill and the ever unpopular failure that is “Build Back Better”.

They are desperate to cover-up the failures, to bury their financial ties to Ukrainian oligarchs, and Hunter’s actions and deals within Ukraine. They are desperate to redirect attention away from abject failures domestically and the worst polling numbers in recent history, which get lower and lower every poll. They are desperate to misdirect attention away from mental decline issues and weakness at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

DO NOT BE FOOLED AMERICA

Do not let these hateful, divisive, arrogant politicians misdirect your attention. The ball is not a foreign war in a foreign country that poses zero threat to America. The ball is firmly in the domestic court. Continue to hold elected officials accountable for the hate they spew, the taxpayer money they spend on nonsense programs, the inability to follow science without political agendas, and their insane insistence of viewing every single through through the lens of racism.

We are better as a nation and civilization than what has been installed to lead our Republic. We have never allowed ourselves to be so divided and angry since The Civil War. Do not be fooled as the attempt to alter history to make themselves look better. Democrats are NOT the party of civil rights and never have been. Do not allow them to divide this nation based on skin pigmentation. Do not allow them to make decisions about your health or your children. Do not allow them to send America’s sons and daughters to fight and die on foreign soil to enrich themselves and disintegrate the Republic in the process.

My fellow Americans, we may disagree politically but at heart we all love our nation. Do not fall for the manufactured crisis and allow them to destroy the American dream for their benefit. Pray for our nation, pray for one another, and pray for peace.

Cult of Personality: “Democrats” and Trumpers

In 1956, Nikita Khrushchev gave a speech decrying those who continued to adore and love beyond rational thought Josef Stalin. 2022 and America has a serious Cult of Personality problem on both “sides” of the aisle. “Democrats” cannot stop talking about and blaming former President Trump for anything and everything. Trumpers cannot stop their unshakable faith that former President Trump is the only path forward to save the Republic. What about the GOP you might be wondering? They fall into both camps to be honest, unable to find an identity strong enough to oppose either the anti or pro Trumpers.

President Trump

President Trump was a great President. History will bear that out, once passions cool and the vitriol on all sides has dissipated. He was strong in the face of America’s enemies. He was never afraid to stand up for what he knew was right, even in the face of unending, relentless negative media coverage. He was, and continues to be, an unapologetic champion for the American people.

He scares the hell out of those who make money serving this nation in elected positions. He scares the hell out of life-long government employees who earn fat paychecks and do not serve the best interests of the American taxpayer. He scares foreign governments because he refuses to apologize for American greatness and makes those same governments pay their fair share.

In short, he is precisely what the elite class fears most. One of their own with the morals and integrity to put the needs of the many over their own. He may not be the role model most of us would choose for a moral and upstanding individual for our children, but he kept every promise he made to the American people once elected.

“Democrats”

“Democrats” and their ilk all suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome. They have a complete inability to look at anything even remotely related to President Trump objectively. They blame every bad thing that happens, more than a year since he left office, on President Trump. There is an inability to think clearly or view problems through the lens of history. The media, both mainstream and social, in today’s America are the biggest source of this syndrome, both as sufferers thereof and as tormentors to the afflicted.

Under “Democratic” control of both Houses of Congress and the Presidency:

• More Americans have died “from” Covid-19 than under President Trump
• Supply chain is bottlenecked across the nation
• Murder rates in every major city across the nation, particularly in Democratic controlled States, has soared to record highs.
• Grocery stores shelves are bare, to the point that #BareShelvesBiden has been trending across social media for more than a week.
• Inflation is surpassing all records previously set.
• Job “growth” is a lie (jobs returning from their forced “closure” under illegal lockdowns is not “growth”)
• Consumer confidence is staggeringly low.
• Trust in the federal government is at an all-time low.
• First Amendment is under constant attack in an unConstitutional attempt to silence any and all dissent.

If any of the above had occurred under President Trump, the media would have been unable to help themselves from screaming from the rooftops 24/7. Today? Today, they are largely silent about questioning anything attempted by those in power. Oh hell, they don’t question anything and will “report” anything that sustains the narrative being propagated by those in power because they are financially benefitting from aiding and abetting. They are more than silent, social media platforms routinely silence and deplatform users that voice opposition to the “Democrats”.

It isn’t “Democrats” alone who suffer from this syndrome. There are plenty who claim to be Republican and who fail to stand up for what are clearly Republican values. These politicians routinely vote with their “democratic” colleagues and against the wishes of their constituents. These politicians once in a while will stand with President Trump when politically expedient and then stab him and his supporters in the back at the first opportunity.

I have zero respect for any of these human beings. I will actively campaign to see them all ousted from office. I will no longer donate money to any political party because they are all greedy bastards with no integrity and lack anything remotely resembling a conscious.

Trumpers

The election of 2020 will continue to remain the most contested, most bitter, and most divisive in American history. It eroded trust in the process, it turned the Republic into a very perilous union, and it divided a nation. But it also spawned the Cult of Personality that won’t move on from Trump and refuse to even consider another politician could do as good a job or better than President Trump.

These individuals are just as blind and delusional as those still suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome. They fall for every scheme that might see the 2020 election results somehow miraculously overturned and Trump sworn into office for his second term. They believe that only President Trump can save the Republic.

These people have seen through the lies and corruption that have eroded the Republic, but they cannot find a path forward without President Trump. They too are stuck in the past unable to do anything but worship Donald Trump. President Trump is not innocent here either. Like any human, he has an ego and he thrives on the attention and adoration from those that worship him. He would not like to admit he has become an idol of worship but unfortunately, it is the truth. There is a very fine line between respect for the office and unfettered love of the person holding the office.

As of this post, 2024 is shaping up to be a repeat of 2016. Either outcome will have disastrous results for the Republic. The GOP has less than two years to decide what is more important, destroying the Republic to defeat Hilary Clinton again or finding a Trump and GOP approved and endorsed candidate that has the balls and personal integrity to stand up and do the right thing regardless of the hate and vitriol thrown. This single decision is the most important one in the next six to eight months. Who will be the 2024 nominees will decide the fate of the Republic.

The Path Forward

What does the future hold? I am not hopeful. I have sworn and oath to preserve and defend The Constitution but every, single day I watch in dismay and horror as elected politicians who have made that same oath routinely deny the Constitution’s existence and blatantly violate it for personal gain. As early as the end of May 2020 when rioting and violence was allowed to proceed unchecked and unprosecuted across the nation, I knew the Republic was in trouble. Nothing in the following, just shy of two years now, has changed my mind or alleviated my fears. If anything, the fear is greater as is the threat to the Republic.

“Democrats” and their ilk are more than willing to shove the Constitution aside to trample on voices that disagree, to violate the sovereignty of States, and to grow the power and control of the Federal Government. Trumpers are unwilling and unable to see their political idol has feet of clay. They are stuck in the past, screaming about the past, and unable and unwilling to deal with the present or plan for the future.

If you are someone like me, who thinks for themselves and sees through the hysteria and lies what is the path forward? How do you prepare for the future which is uncertain and filled with minefields of undefined scope and size?

Honestly? I don’t have the answers. I know that President Trump is in the past. He did amazing things for this nation and will be remembered as one of her greatest Presidents. But he is too divisive and polarizing to ever run again if there is even a small glimmer of a chance to preserve the Republic.

We need a path forward that preserves the sovereignty of States and the Union. A path where there is middle ground that all sides can agree upon. A path that acknowledges we are ONE NATION UNDER GOD and the CONTENT OF ONE’S CHARACTER is what defines us, not the color of our pigment. A path that secures our borders and doesn’t arm those that wish to harm America and Americans. A path that allows for civil discourse when there are disagreements rather than riots in the street where small business are burned and looted. A path the punishes the criminals and protects the innocent. A path where Freedom of Speech and Religion are honored.

But most of all, a path forward that amends the Constitution to place term limits on serving in federal office and federal employment. No more lifelong jobs working for the federal government, retiring with an income that far exceeds what the average American household makes. The amendment must also place a mandatory retirement age on elected members to Congress and the Presidency. No longer shall people who are well past normal retirement age be allowed to dictate to the remainder of the nation what direction the nation shall take.

I pray daily for the Republic. I pray that there is a reason God has laid this path before this great nation and at the fork in the road we decide together to walk the path of unity over dissolution. I pray for these things, but my heart is not hopeful. I am an American. I shall always be an American. If forced to pick a side, it will not be the side currently in power hell bent on destroying this nation.

My How Time Flies

While packing, unpacking, and in general overwhelmed and exhausted sometimes there is nothing better than curling up and watching television. I am not talking about current television, nothing there worth watching.

I turned on The Golden Girls while in the midst of the move and my how time flies!

I remember watching the series with my parents and thinking just how old they were. Imagine the look on my face when I realized I am now the same age! It was an eye opener but it was also a reminder of just how blessed I am.

It is easy to relate to the everyday struggles of a fifty-something woman and an aging parent now that I have slipped into those shoes. The humor and dignity on display in this amazing series is something missing from television today. No preaching, no quotas, no indoctrination to be found. Just an amazing cast of woman, amazing writing, and relatable life situations treated with dignity and respect. What was an enjoyable half-hour back in the day, has become twenty-two minutes of pure escapism which lightens the mood and refreshes your faith in humanity.

If you need a break from all the crap on television today, then I can highly recommend losing yourself with Blanche, Dorothy, Rose, and Sofia!

Television Then and Now

Went to bed last night but wasn’t ready to go to sleep and reading wasn’t going to happen, so I flipped on the television. When shockingly nothing on television floated my boat, I flipped through the sitcoms offerings on Hulu. I ran across Cheers and a smile lit my face.

Remember when you turned on television to relax and escape the drudgery of everyday life? That is no longer possible with current offerings. Cheers was pure joy last night. I laughed at scripted comedy and enjoyed every moment of it immensely. Easy going comradery amongst bar patrons and staff was refreshing. There was no sense of dread in the pit of my stomach waiting for the “wokeness” to raise it’s vile head and force me to change the channel.

Cheers ran from 1982-1993. The world was far from a perfect place back then but you could turn on the television at the end of a hard day and catch a couple of hours of decent television that let you set aside your troubles. It was an amazing experience we flat out failed to appreciate at the time.

It is easy to look back at the past with rose colored glasses and believe that the past was a simpler, less complicated time. But even a brief glance at US history during that time frame will quickly bely the belief that life and politics was simpler and less complicated. The Cold War ended, political fortunes radically shifted within Europe, high US unemployment, Iran Contra hearings, just to name a couple of highlights from the time frame of Cheers, The world was no less a dangerous, unpredictable place than it is today. Those dangers were just different than those facing us today.

What is different between the Cheers era and today? The difference comes down to a robust, curious journalists who actually investigated and reported things with some verifiable degree of impartiality. They asked hardball questions, they didn’t clear questions and stories with the White House press office prior. The average American could question the government without being labeled a domestic terrorist for having the intelligence to question those elected to be office. The biggest difference though? Not every facet of life was tainted by politics and as a nation, Americans were not so divided that the two political parties could not find common ground.

I will continue to watch “classic” television in favor of the highly politicized stuff being put forth these days. The overt politicization of every aspect of life is tainting cannot be sustained and I pray for a return to sanity and inclusivity that was once the hallmark of this nation.

Father Altman vs. The Heretical Roman Catholic Church under Jorge

2020 and the political machinations of the global elite exposed their chess game for all willing to look for the kernel of truth amongst the massive propaganda machine. The attempts to silence and punish those that speak truth and refuse to remain silent have continued in 2021. Those attempts to silence and dissuade have become open and blatant. The Catholic Church hierarchy is clear part of that global elite and their deceit, greed, and heresy has been exposed.

I went into radio silence on this blog as I began to watch the nation I love crumble and disintegrate but I can no longer place my personal safety above that of my nation or my faith. I am a Roman Catholic and the Church under the heretic Jorge is not Catholicism. It is a blatant power grab by the angry, Godless, power hungry heretics determined to disguise their actions through intimidation. I refuse to be intimidated. I refuse to sit here and cower while the heretical powers in Rome and the US Conference of Catholic Bishops make a mockery of the Church and those that have loved and defended Her throughout history.

Father Altman Celebrating Mass

Father Altman is the Pastor of Saint James the Less in La Crosse, WI. Through the “pandemic” Father Altman spoke out against the egregious governmental overreach, the cowardness of Catholic hierarchy, and pressing need for Catholic priests to actually minister to their flocks when they are sacred, ill, frightened, and searching. Father Altman was not the only Catholic priest to call out the hypocrisy but he is one of the most visible.

A week ago today, the Bishop of La Crosse, William Callahan, suspended the priestly faculties of Father Altman. Essentially Father Altman remains the Pastor of the parish of St. James the Less but without the ability to perform sacraments. Effectively, it is an attempt to silence and sideline Father Altman.

Father Altman continues to fight for his parish, his parishioners, and his Church. He is in a canonical battle for his vocation. All letters of support will be compiled and presented as a part of his pending Canon law case. Please if you are a faithful Catholic who believes that the Church has fundamentally lost its way, please write a letter to Father Altman.

Dear Bishop Callahan:

Father Altman is the walking embodiment of what it means to not only be a good, faithful, practicing Catholic but he is the living example of what it means to be a Roman Catholic priest.  He is the furthest thing from a “divisive” priest.  He is one of the very few priests in the United States who fulfilled, and continues to fulfill, his priestly and fatherly duty to his parishioners and greater flock around the world.

Father Altman refused to abandon his children and buy into a political scheme to instill fear and distrust among the population.  Instead, he continued to treat his parish family as human beings with real needs, spiritual and physical.  You and your corrupt brethren of the USCCB, abandoned your flock, towed the political firestorm, and spewed lies and hate.  You failed the Catholics of the Archdiocese of La Crosse.

It is not the duty of the laity to be silent and obey the dictates of their parish priest, Archdiocese, or the Pope.  It is the absolute moral duty for the laity to speak and be heard when the Church places politics above the teachings of the Church.  That is precisely what openly occurred in 2020 and is continuing to occur in 2021.

Father Altman, and the priests like him, are the reason I remain a faithful, traditional Roman Catholic.  Not because of the false, heretical, pagan, and evil dictates that are stemming from Rome or the USCCB.  Rather because of amazing priests, like Father Altman, that speak truth to power, that do not deny the sacraments to parishioners, that refuse to be cowed or silenced into submission by bullies in positions of power, and who assume the burdens of fighting for the faith in the face of overwhelming odds.

As our household suffered under the illegal mandates of government overreach, as I daily pondered how to keep my family healthy and fed, as my husband was denied job after job, I prayed and I turned to Father Altman.  He is the type of priest I grew up with and trust.  He is an unapologetic champion for Catholicism, for his immediate parish family, and those of us around the world who felt, and continue to feel, abandoned by the Catholic hierarchy.  Father Altman kept my faith alive.  His courage, determination, and faith helped me, and so many others around the world, retain and renew our faith.

Father Altman invites people into the loving circle of God’s embrace and spreads the truth of God’s word.  He is unapologetic in preaching and speaking the truth.  No one should ever be forced into apologizing for speaking the truth, and in the United States of America it is his Constitutional right to do so.  Father Altman and the priests like him are keeping the true faith alive.  The hierarchy is killing the faith for monetary and political gain.

In closing Bishop Callahan, you must apologize to Father Altman, the parish of Saint James the Less, and resign.  Not just from the Archdiocese of La Crosse, but from the priesthood itself.  It is clear you lack any semblance of spiritual faith, Catholic or otherwise.  It is abundantly clear you are interested in political power and money.  It is clear you are not a shepherd of Roman Catholicism as taught by Saint Mark in his gospel. 

Father Altman is a living martyr for being a Roman Catholic, not by choice but rather by the actions and moral bankruptcy of yourself, the USCCB, and Roman hierarchy loyal to Jorge.  Father Altman is a man of God who loves and cares for his children.  You, Mr. Callahan, are unfit to wash his feet.

Weeping For the Nation I Love

So the last two months have been spent spinning up the base, nutty conspiracy theory after nutty conspiracy theory, lies, irrational tweets from once respected lawyers, talk show hosts ranting and raving, etc.

Now suddenly today they are amazed that the base they spun up for the last two months was primed for violence and fighting fire with fire?  The hypocrisy from the right is flat out embarrassing right now.

All summer we demanded law and order.  We demanded that the Left reign in their thugs.  Now suddenly law and order gets tossed out the window as the unthinking act out like toddlers without naps.

One nanosecond of rational, critical thinking would have seen through the propaganda and lies post election by the right.

Yes Biden is bought and paid for by China.  Yes the Democrats have stolen the election.  No elected Republicans are NOT GOING TO DO A DAMN THING ABOUT IT!

Trump is one man against an entrenched bureaucracy that has its own best interests at heart.  There is no one to blame but the face in the mirror.  Year after year the GOP does NOTHING and yet, still they get votes.  Year after year, citizens demand more and more for government and then are AMAZED when the government acts to protect themselves and not the nation.

America is a great dream.  Americans have let the dream crumble with every hand out from big government.  The dream has evaporated into chaos and begging for inalienable rights because we allowed it to happen.

It didn’t happen over night.  It didn’t happen in the last four years.  It started with the industrial revolution and every year since then a wee piece of liberty has been voluntarily relinquished to government for this or that.

So, it is time to decide are you a Constitutionalist or are you a Statist?  Whichever you choose in this moment will be the future you will help bring about.

I choose Constitutionalist.  I choose freedom and liberty.  I will honor the sacrifices of our ancestors.

Decide Americans but do not feign shock when the fraudsters have absolute control over your life and you are standing in line for bread.  Violence solves nothing, secession solves everything.

Americans are FRICKIN’ idiots! We scream when they don’t get their desired outcome. The left did it in 2016. The right is doing it now. There may be rampant fraud and Biden undoubtedly stole the election, but until proven in a court of law allegations are meaningless.

Demanding that news media, ie FOX, only present conservative news is part of the problem of the right. CNN/MSNBC are the left equivalent.
Living in an echo chamber, hearing only what reconfirms your beliefs is dangerous. It is what got America into the situation we currently find ourselves. News is supposed to be objective. It is supposed to say here are the arguments, you decide. Instead, it has turned into peddling political spin dressed up as reporting.

It is easy to blame the networks and newspapers. They share a portion of the guilt. The larger portion of the guilt belongs to the American public who tolerated the nonsense posing as news, continued to purchase from corporations who bought ad time on these networks, who lament “Big Tech” interference but failed to leave Facebook, Twitter for years, still use Google as if there is no viable alternative search engine.

So be pissed off all you want at FOX, at Tucker, at AOC, but don’t forget that Americans let this happen. All of us collectively are responsible for the crap fest we currently find ourselves mired in.

Bigger question is obvious, what will Americans collectively learn from the 2020 election? The echo chamber news symptom cannot continue in a healthy republic. Admittedly, our democratic republic is on life support. But the fundamental question remains, what will Americans learn? Will there be personal introspection? Will news outlets stop and reassess their failed and flawed models?

State run media, which is akin to what we have right now, only feeds the public the information they want the consumer to know. Not facts, not truth, but propaganda dressed up as news. Every news network is guilty of it. Hell, I will confess that leading up to the election I couldn’t handle the Democratic talking points because they were just so damn dishonest. But I still got my information from multiple sources, from multiple political flavors.

There should never be blind trust in any media outlet. They should always be viewed with suspicion. If Americans learn one lesson from the last four years, please let it be that one. News organizations no longer present the unvarnished truth and it takes multiple outlets of different persuasions to get to something resembling a core kernel of truth.

When news outlets no longer use words like riot or capitalize one color descriptor for people but not another these outlets are not news. These outlets are trying to sell you their version of events. You cannot report on a riot but call it a peaceful protest while reporting on live television as a city block burns behind you. You cannot claim to be a reporter when you ignore evidence of foreign influence peddling and corruption but ask a presidential candidate what flavor ice cream cone he ordered. You cannot claim to be a reporter and on air declare a subject/person cannot be discussed when it is appropriate to the larger conversation.

Americans and America must do better. Americans must find a way to depoliticize every aspect of life. Americans must decide if they want to remain the United States or if they are better off divorcing from one another. We either regain the ability to find middle ground across the board or the situation is going to continue to deteriorate.

Pray for the nation we all love. Pray for Americans regardless of their politics. Pray for whatever the outcome of the 2020 election, the losing side is not going to accept graciously.
