What seems like eons and ages ago, I finally got engaged to the wonderful man flapping his jaws on the sofa next to me. Like all marriages, we have experienced the highs and lows of living and growing with another person. He is the love of my life, and way back when my parents gave us the engagement gift that is used weekly.
It is the beautiful pale pink color that I have loved forever and I can’t imagine using another mixer. Recently my mum purchased a cover for her mixer and I remarked on how much I liked it.
She also special ordered a cover for her food processor to match, . The covers add personality to her kitchen and I told her how much I really liked the covers.
So imagine my surprise and joy at the very early birthday gift last week, when she handed me a package and told me to open it. I did and inside was a cover for my beloved mixer in forest green with pink roses. Our wedding colors were forest green and pink, and now thanks to my mum I have constant reminder of our beautiful wedding (which I don’t remember the overwhelming majority of unfortunately).
I’ve put a couple of attachments to the mixer in the front pocket. It doesn’t look quite as sleek but I prefer to have them contained in one place and easy to find. Plus if I don’t have to go searching for the ice cream paddle I am much more likely to make ice cream! Besides I’d rather having the pockets bulging with attachments as it more closely reflects the beauty that is my life bulging with family, friends, pets, and life.
If you would like to treat someone you love or yourself to one of these beautiful covers, then I encourage you to do so. According to Mum, the owner is easy to work with and deliveries were prompt. Her store front can be found here. The stitching is impeccable and I highly recommend the covers.
Mum, and of course Daddy, I love you and I am blessed everyday to have you for parents. Your love and generosity shaped me into the adult I became and will continue to become. To my husband, I am no means perfect and I may not remember our wedding, but I love you more every day.
