I apologize for the late posting, I’m posting Days 9 and 10 today. Yesterday was just a mess, no more than 2 hours straight sleep the night before after a week of not sleeping. Once again, the blasted smoke alarms decided to go off when it got windy here. Everything was fine in the house, but nothing beats getting woken up at 2 AM right?
Once again, I cannot connect to today’s challenge question for very similar reasons to Day 8’s question. So instead, these are books I turn to when I don’t feel well or need a mental health day to myself.
Chicken Soup books have become a little cliché to be honest but they are still full of stories that make you feel good about yourself or make you realize how lucky you are in life.
Now the Cookie and Soup books I can’t vouch for but they definitely caught my attention. I’m a sucker for cookbooks though, could have something to do with being in the process of writing a cookbook. I am always on the lookout for good cookie recipes I can adapt to the tastes of my family. Also, how doesn’t love a good bowl of steaming soup or chili when the weather is cold and you feel like hammered crap? My personal favorites include chicken enchilada soup and chili. And if it is the dead of winter, wait winter oh yeah we don’t really get that here anymore, I love a big bowl of split pea soup with a fresh, huge chunk of pumpernickel bread.
