Have you ever had creative block that’s lasted for weeks? I will confess that mine has lasted about two and a half years. 😦 It all started when we brought him a new puppy and it was just too complicated to try and stitch, scrap, etc. while there was a biting, nipping puppy all over me. She was a black ball of joy the moment she entered the household but she stopped me from doing crafty stuff.
I think the dry spell is over. I very much want to stitch and I have this burning itch to sew and scrap again as well. So, I’m thinking I’m going to make some decorating changes to the spare bedroom this week. It rarely gets used as a guest bedroom, so I might as well make the space a little more functional for crafting activities.
The larger angel and the bottom left picture of the second picture are both current projects that are waiting for me to start and complete. They are being done with custom threads and fabric which I am doing for my mother. I have several pieces in process for myself, including:
The last picture is for Dave’s boss who had a baby almost a year ago. I should have completed it months ago but it got started and then put on hold as soon as I slipped in the kitchen and slammed into the wall. I managed not to break my left thumb but who knew how slowly thumbs healed? Honestly, that happened in early June and it still hasn’t healed completely. It is much better and I’m beginning to be able to stitch once again.
In my endeavors to keep the creative juices alive and flowing, I will post progress pictures regularly.
