For our wedding we received a bread machine and it has been used constantly since unwrapping the gift. The machine is currently on it’s last legs and I’ve been contemplating replacing the machine. So, before doing the requisite research I decided to make bread using the Kitchen Aid to see if it would be successful. I’m thrilled to admit, it worked perfectly. I knew the mixer would have no problems, I was concerned about the bread rising successfully in a house cooled by AC a good six months out of the year. The air was on yesterday, so it was a perfect day to test bread making in the house. The bread turned out light and tasty. I will however transfer the dough to loaf pans after the first rise from now on.
Spring has definitely sprung here in Arizona. My roses are in full bloom, my patio is covered in rose petals (from the wind), and the palm trees are all beginning to sprout new fronds. I need to trim roses today however. The wind has been blowing gently but consistently over the last two days and what flowers that have opened have had their petals scattered. I will try and remember to take pictures to post.
The new pedestal arrived for our glass tabletop last week. It looks amazing. we have pulled up the two counter stools to the table for now. They are the right height but don’t go with the pedestal at all. We ordered two new chairs from Target last week. We aren’t positive that they are the right color or height, but are positive that if they don’t look right we can use them elsewhere in the house without a problem. The chairs that match the pedestal are very nice but I don’t particularly want them to be honest. They have black faux-leather seats which in a hot Arizona day just means sticking to the chair to eat and having to peel yourself from the chair after dinner. Thus, I am really hoping the ordered chairs work well with the pedestal.
